...Most of our items are hand crafted and hand finished in England, employing the same techniques and traditions that have been used for centuries. Nearly all items, particularly those in our solid wood country line, are "aged" reproductions, giving the appearance and feel of the actual period antique on which it was modeled. Unlike manufactured furniture which usually has a spray lacquered finish, almost all of our pieces have a hand waxed finish to create a warm and beautiful patina. Simply put, a machine cannot do what a patient craftsman can. The human hand is still the only way to achieve this kind of beauty and uniqueness. Our furniture is crafted to the highest standards. And if you don't agree, we'll give you your money back.
